ABASS ADIGUN (AGBOWORIN), LAWMAKER REPRESENTING IBADAN NORTH—EAST/SOUTH—EAST FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY OF OYO STATEBorn on June 28, 1970, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.He had his early education at Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School where he got his Secondary School Certificate.Thereafter, he proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Offa in Kwara State where he bagged his Ordinary National Diploma, (OND) in Business Management in the year 1995.After his OND programme, he left the shores of Nigeria to America where he was enlisted into the United States Navy. He attended the US Navy Construction Electrician School in 1996; the Basic Combat Skill School; the Naval Seabee Construction Management Course 1 & 2 Specialist Course in 1999. He also, in the same year, became a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist.He attended the US Navy Recruiting School, Florida, in the year 2001. In 2004, he attended Naval Leadership School, Los Angeles, California.In 2005, he bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Columbian Southern University, Orange Beach, Alabama, United States of America.After honourably serving in the United States Navy, he was granted the privilege of early retirement in 2008 at the age of 38 and subsequently relocated to Lagos, Nigeria.He started a haulage business with NNPC by transporting PMS from Port-Harcourt to NNPC station in Sokoto.In 2015, he contested for the House of Assembly Constituency 2 seat, Ibadan South East Local Government but was not successful.Again, in 2017, he ran for Local Government council Chairman and efforts proved futile.Then in 2019, he contested for the House of Representatives seat under the platform of the PDP and he won.Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin) is a two-term member representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency of Oyo State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the National Assembly and has sponsored many bills and moved many motions to his credit.He is renowned for his transformative empowerment programmes for youths, women, market men and women, special peoples, widows and infrastructural development projects, which ranked him as one of the top-performing lawmakers in Nigeria. He is married with children.
