Member representing Ibadan South East/North East federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, on Thursday, said that the late All Progressive Congress lawmaker, Hon. Musiliu Akinremi Jagaban, will be sorely missed.
Agboworin, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, in an emotionally-laden voice, spoke on behalf of the members of the House of Representatives, at the eight-day Fidau prayers organized for the deceased lawmaker at the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, UCH, Ibadan.
While describing late Akinremi as a jovial, sociable and hardworking person who related well with his colleagues in the House and everyone despite their political differences, Agboworin noted that his type of personality was rare.
He praised Akinremi’s contributions to the development of Ibadan North Federal Constituency and extended his condolences to family, friends, colleagues and political associates.
He said: “Today is a very sad day for everyone of us because the death of our friend, Jagaban, is a very big loss. A big loss to his constituency and Oyo State at large.
“He was a very good and hardworking man. From his disposition, you would know he loved his people and the state. He had the interest of his people at heart. Some of us who are his friends will sorely miss him in Abuja.
“I pray that the Almighty Allah will be with his family and give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss as well as grant him eternal rest.”The event was attended by family, friends, colleagues of the deceased and a huge number of government functionaries, who all came to pay their respects and offer their condolences.
